Written in the last 10 years of his life, Tučapský explores all facets of piano playing, technically and emotionally. Inspired by the 24 preludes of Chopin, Debussy and Shostakovich, Tučapský wrote them in batches of five. The first five take as long to play as the whole 24 of Chopin. Full of dances and folk tunes they are a rich source of his Czech heritage.
